The Hammer Museum reinterprets Museum Portraits (1977), an unrealized Happening conceived by Allan Kaprow. Museum staff move their desk chairs outside to the sidewalk along the exterior wall of the museum. For one hour, they initiate conversations about art, Kaprow, museums, and other related issues amongst themselves and with random passersby.
